Paso is a Chrome extension that turns every new tab into a productivity dashboard. It includes a pomodoro focus timer, a to do list, a habit tracker, a day planner, a notepad, soundscapes, quick links, a weather pill, and an optional translator.
This policy explains what data Paso handles and where it goes. The short version is simple. Paso has no account and no servers of its own. Your data stays on your device. A few optional features send the minimum needed to a third party to work.
1. Data we collect
We, the developer of Paso, collect nothing. Paso has no backend server. Your data never reaches us.
All your content is stored locally in your browser. This includes your tasks, habits, plans, notes, focus history, activity log and settings. It is kept in localStorage, IndexedDB and chrome.storage on your own device.
If you turn on the optional sync feature, Chrome syncs this data through your own Google account using chrome.storage.sync. It still never passes through our servers. This feature is off until you enable it.
2. Data sent to third parties
Some optional features need to contact a third party to work. When they do, only the data needed for that feature is sent, and it goes straight from your browser to that service. We never see it. These transfers happen only when the feature is used.
- Weather. To show your local forecast, Paso sends an approximate location to weather and location services. This uses Open-Meteo (api.open-meteo.com), Nominatim from OpenStreetMap (nominatim.openstreetmap.org), and IP based lookup services (ipapi.co, ipwho.is). The data sent is a coordinate or an approximate location from your IP address.
- Translator. When you use the quick translator and Chrome's built in translator is not available, the text you choose to translate is sent to Google Translate (translate.googleapis.com) and the result comes back. Only that text is sent.
- Quick Links icons. To show the small icon for a site you pin, Paso requests its icon from Google (www.google.com/s2/favicons). Only the site domain is sent.
- Soundscapes. The ambient sound files are downloaded from a public CDN (cdn.jsdelivr.net). This loads audio only. No personal data is sent.
These services have their own privacy policies. Paso uses them only to power the feature you asked for.
3. What Paso does not do
- We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties, except to power the features above.
- We do not use your data for any purpose other than the single purpose of the extension.
- We do not use your data to decide creditworthiness or for lending.
- There is no tracking, no analytics and no ads inside the extension.
4. Data types, as listed by the Chrome Web Store
For clarity, the only data that leaves your device is location, used by the weather feature, and website content, meaning the text you choose to translate, used by the translator. Everything else, including your tasks, habits, notes and focus history, stays on your device and is never collected.
5. Permissions
- storage saves your data on your device.
- contextMenus adds a right click option to send selected text, a link or a page to your tasks.
- declarativeNetRequest and webNavigation power the optional focus blocker, which blocks the sites you chose during a focus session. They check the domain against your own block list and read no browsing history.
- alarms clears the focus blocker rules after a session ends, so blocking never stays on by mistake.
All executable code ships inside the extension. Paso does not download or run remote code.
6. Children
Paso is a general productivity tool. It does not target children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.
7. Changes
We may update this policy at any time. Updates take effect when they are posted on this page. Continued use of the extension means you accept the updated policy.

Paso, her yeni sekmeyi bir üretkenlik panosuna çeviren bir Chrome uzantısıdır. İçinde pomodoro odak zamanlayıcısı, yapılacaklar listesi, alışkanlık takibi, günlük planlayıcı, not defteri, ortam sesleri, hızlı bağlantılar, hava durumu ve isteğe bağlı bir çevirmen bulunur.
Bu politika, Paso'nun hangi veriyi işlediğini ve nereye gittiğini anlatır. Kısacası şudur. Paso'nun hesabı ve kendi sunucusu yoktur. Verin cihazında kalır. Birkaç isteğe bağlı özellik, çalışmak için gerekli olan en az veriyi bir üçüncü tarafa gönderir.
1. Topladığımız veriler
Biz, Paso geliştiricisi olarak hiçbir şey toplamıyoruz. Paso'nun arka uç sunucusu yoktur. Verin bize asla ulaşmaz. Hava durumu için yaklaşık konum hava durumu ve konum servislerine gider. Çevirmen için seçtiğin metin Google Translate'e gider. Hızlı bağlantı ikonu için site alan adı Google'a gider. Ortam sesleri bir CDN'den iner ve kişisel veri içermez.
3. Yapmadıklarımız
Verini satmayız veya yukarıdaki özellikler dışında aktarmayız. Verini tek amaç dışında kullanmayız. Kredi amaçlı kullanmayız. Uzantı içinde takip, analiz veya reklam yoktur. Cihazından çıkan tek veri konum ve çeviri metnidir. Geri kalan her şey cihazında kalır.
