What is Paso?

Paso is a free Google Chrome new-tab extension. It turns every new tab into a Pomodoro timer, to-do list, habit tracker, day planner and a Notepad++-style notepad — so your tools are one tab away.

Is Paso free?

Yes — Paso is completely free, with no account and no subscription.

Does Paso work offline?

Yes. The core tools — timer, tasks, habits, planner, notepad and gamification — work fully offline, with your data stored in your browser. Weather, soundscapes and the translator are optional online extras.

Is my data private?

Yes. Everything is stored locally in your browser (localStorage and IndexedDB). There is no account, no server syncing your data, no tracking and no API key.

What can the notepad do?

The notepad is a real editor built on CodeMirror 6: syntax highlighting for 16 languages, Markdown live preview, code folding, multiple cursors, a command palette, find & replace, and open/save to disk — all offline. Press “.” on a new tab to open it.
