What is Paso?
Paso is a free Google Chrome extension that replaces your new tab with a productivity dashboard: a Pomodoro timer, tasks, habits, a day planner, Notepad and sticky notes.
Is Paso free?
Yes. Paso is free and has no ads inside the extension. You do not need a subscription, a Paso account or an API key.
Does Paso work offline?
The timer, tasks, habits, planner, Notepad and sticky notes work offline. Live weather and optional Chrome sync require internet access. On-device translation depends on browser support and may need an initial language model download.
Where is my data stored?
Your content is stored in your browser by default. Optional Chrome sync can send supported data, including tasks, habits and plans, through your Google account. Notepad and sticky note contents are not included in Chrome sync. Export a backup before moving devices or removing the extension.
What can I do with notes?
Write text or code in multiple tabs, preview Markdown and compare two notes side by side or in a unified view. Export an exact .diff file, create a task from a note or attach a note to a task. These tools run locally.
How do I install Paso?
Install Paso from the Chrome Web Store, then open a new tab. No Paso account or API key is required.
What is new in Paso 2.4.0?
Colorful sticky notes, moving sticky notes into Notepad, task scheduling, linked notes, creating tasks from notes, local note comparison, and optional device encryption for Notepad and sticky notes.
How does note encryption work?
Enable device encryption in Settings to encrypt saved Notepad and sticky note content without remembering a password. The key stays in the same browser profile. This is not an access lock against someone who can use that profile, and it does not encrypt every type of Paso data.
Does Paso use analytics?
There are no analytics or ads inside the extension. The separate pasofocusflow.com website uses Google Analytics subject to your cookie choice. Online features such as weather and site icons contact their providers.
Which languages does Paso support?
The app supports English, Turkish, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Greek. Some newer tools use English fallback labels. Website translations are separate from app language support.
